Fashion Anatomy

I probably should have written about this editorial in time for Halloween...better late than never!

It is from Elle Italy and it's actually one of my recent faves. Maybe it's a bit creepy and dark but it's not obvious (I'm a bit tired of the oh-so-popular "road movie" and "life in the City" themed eds published every month everywhere...).

Antropology and anatomy are two of my passions. Combine them with fashion and you'll obtain this

The images are from Elle Italy, October 2008 issue, photographer Ruven Afanador

I love this! The first photo in particular reminds me of dioramas (is that you you spell it? or diarama?) - it's a little box, we used to take a shoebox and put the top at a 90 degree perpendicular angle. You would then make a "scene" inside with little items or a cut-out sky and little people...

The colors of these photos really make them wonderful!

(p.s. check out the new violetville blog!) I'm still working out the kinks but I'm trying!!

Lovely posts as always!!

Even though I don't like the way that the model pose I have to say that this editorial is stunning!

That's one hell of an editorial!
Thanks for sharing, I think I need to run out and buy myself a copy of that issue. :)

@ model citizen: oh, I always loved dioramas! We didn't do that sort of things at school and I'm still so jealous when I saw american movies where children make dioramas or volcanoes! Yay for the new blog, gonna add it to the blogroll :-)

Wow, beautiful indeed. Love the colours, and the cool idea of combining fashion with those creepy/interesting anathomical items.

Plus, I love that Chanel "face frame"...I remember those from a Chanel Haute Couture show months ago and thought they were soooo cool.

Cheers
