Glamourous Stitches

I like fashion illustration and more than this I like inusual fashion illustration. Digital illustration could be amazing, but I like a lot old school tecnique too: I love when an image is "touchable", a "not-too-flat" surface, when there is a real 3-D texture.
Also, I adore when a picture is a mix of different medium and art forms.

Now you can easily understand why I'm a big fan of the Spain based artist Paula Sanz Caballero and her work. Her illustrations combine a glamourous design with a perfectly handmade embroidery, they're made by sewing different fabrics and patterns together using a self teached technique: the results are simply amazing, the details are fabulous and the entire composition is excellent.
She's not only a great fashion illustrator, she also has a great career as an artist with exhibitions in prestigious art galleries around the world. Her work was featured in various international editions of Vogue, Marie Claire and Elle magazine and used in advertising and publishing campaign, from Bloomingdale's to the renewed italian edition of Grazia magazine.
