The Way We Where, The Way We'll Be.

Damn you, Facebook! I joined it only recently cause, I have to say it, it scares me and I was not sure I wanted to re-meet ALL of the people I have known in my whole life since now. But I dit it of course, I joined.
I'm pretty shy on Facebook, I don't add anyone and I actually have less than 30 friends (and just a few are real friends). I don't add people I was at school with twenty years ago just because "the more the merrier" and I even spent an hour before adding a close friend I didn't hear in a while cause I thought maybe he didn't remember me!! Ok, I'm stupid, I know!

By the way, I'm virtually meeting a lot of people I've known and lost and every day there's a new trip down memory lane. This morning I first found (well, she found me) one of my primary school friends. I remember birthdays and afternoons spent playing and chatting. Now she's a surgeon... Then, later today I looked for a friend I met when we both were at Uni. I remember the theater and anthropology classes, those happy days... She married, last May and I didn't even know she had a boyfriend. Well, a bit too much for today!

I feel strange, a bit sad, a bit anxious about my life and my projects...
I need something new, definitely. And just because this still is the silly blog it used to be and not a "dear diary" one and I don't want this post sounds like a crying "oh poor me" thing, I decided I really need to do something new...on the silly side!

I need a change of perspectives: I have to cut my hair. Hoping in a way different mood...

I decided for a long bob, Nicole Richie style. Next week that will be done.

Do you like it?

Crossing fingers, I will not look awful. That would be a bad change of perspective!

I'm much more addicted to facebook than you are, but every so often someone finds me I totally forgot about and its a little crazy- primary school friends, former teachers, etc. its a very voyeristic environment and i can't figure out whether that makes me uncomfortable or not

i can't stand to go on facebook because i have very little interest in people from high school and such and don't really want them to know all that much about me either! i'm glad to have gotten away from there and feel lucky to have done so and don't feel the need to dwell or get caught up in the past :)

i think the haircut will be super on you <3

Facebook is kinda boring. Many people are addicted, but I honestly don't really get why.

First thing... good for you not wanting to reconnect w/people from 20 years ago. Not that it's not okay occasionally, but life moves forward and so should we! Plus those people made my life hell!
Second, the haircut... go for it. You will look and feel amazing...sometimes we need stuff like this to get us kick started again! Can't wait to see the results!

Oh wow, facebook. I end up being a total creeper and looking at people's pictures, then I start comparing myself to them, and it gets really annoying! I also like your blog a lot! Want to trade links? If so, comment your link on my blog!

a change of hair is always a great feeling when life is getting a little sluggish, i hope your new hair looks lovely (i dont think that bob could look bad on anyone)

I think I understand what you mean when you say that looking at other people and how they've been doing since you last caught up makes you anxious. I myself have a terrible habit of comparing myself to other people and needing to somehow prove that I am better or doing better - otherwise I get anxious too!

But honestly, it's not really necessary. I keep reminding myself that everyone is different, so it does end up like comparing apples and oranges.

I think your blog is wonderful. Other than that I don't know much about you, but I'm inclined to tell you not to worry :) I also think the haircut is a good idea. I had long hair for about 6 years, and when I cut it I felt like a whole new person. Do show us photos!

Seriosly, nothing feels better than cutting your hair short.
Go for it! It'll look wonderful on you.

Oh, it must be strange to run into people like that. I always feel okay until I start to compare lives...
I think a bob will look fantastic on you. It's such a big change too. I'm excited to see the results.

I'm a somewhat facebook addict, but then again I'm still in highschool.

Can't wait to see how the bob works out.

I hate Myspace and I hate facebook, Unfortunately I have to have a facebook page to keep in touch with old friends..but I'm trying to be as anonymous as possible. Of course it hasn't stopped people I totally had forgotten about like old calssmates and stuff from contacting me..

I actually love Nicole's hair style, very edgy.

Changing you hair is always a great remedy for getting out of a rut. I love Nicole's hair in that photo, it's so flattering.

PS. Now that I am done with my travels, I'll work on answering those questions and get them to you by the end of the week!

Good luck with the haircut!

I'm on facebook and in the beginning I didn't like it a lot but now that I have re-found all my friends of the past , of Belgium, I have to say that everyday I need to see who's on...
