May Is The Way

Finally it's May, my favorite month. Hoping in a month of warm temperatures (yesterday was 22/24 °C here) and sun, happy mood and fun. I also hope to be able to post more often from today on :-)

Yesterday I went for a little tour at the local market and I unexpectly found a lot of nice things. I ended buying a pair of nice tops and now, looking at my closets, I must say I don't really need anything else. Except a pair of pants, but that's another story...!

I also bought a new wonderful vintage 50s dress last week trought Etsy; I'm still waiting for it but I already virtually added it to the wardrobe and I can't wait to receive it. It's killing me that I can't post "homemade" pictures of my outfits, buys, etc...as I wrote before my pc is dead at 50% and don't recognize any hardware connected to it (today I discovered I can't even update my Ipod!!). By the way you can see the dress in the pic below, which come directly from the Etsy listing. My hair looks quite the same at the moment, so it can give you an idea too!


And just in case I'm gonna hit the jackpot this week, this is what's currently in my shopping wish list


A pair of bright colored relaxed or peg leg pants like these .
A striped t-shirt, black and white with thick stripes.
A grey pencil skirt, here .
These earrings.
This top or similar juicy frilly blouses.
A straw hat, really ladylike, classic or in an unusual shade.
A black oversized "rock" bag to pair with my sweet outfits. This one my favorite.

these two gorgeous vintage dresses ( here and here , click the pics to see the amazing embroidery) which are slightly beyond my budget...but maybe they're ok for yours, so please: go and buy them!!!



Last but not least, I really want a 50s/60s black handbag . They're so chic and they make me immediately think at Vertigo and almost all the Hitchcock movies...

February Moodboard

Last night there was a big storm here. I woke up at 3.30 am because of thunders and lightnings...Not so good! Today it rained all day long and this afternoon something that looked like frozen snow fell down too.

Yes, I know, this is another metheropatic post...please forgive me! But if a warm day makes me happy thinking of summer, bad weather makes me crave for spring!

This is what's on my mind this month in terms of fashion...and despite their outrageous international shipping costs I hope Forever21 would ship to Italy too anytime soon.

November Board

Considering I fill a notebook per month with wish lists, to do lists and all that things, I decided to share with you my current shopping obsessions.


American Apparel.
Despite their gross ads, I'm developing an insane addiction to American Apparel. I've just realized that when I have to buy basic pieces like tees and tanks I tend to choose always dark colors, 99% of times black...I probably need something "quite" to pair with bold key pieces and accessories! AA items are no exception. The unisex tri-blend tee - loose fit but just a bit - is definitely something I would wear with a little high waisted skirt (like the AA pleated schoolgirl skirt that hopefully will come soon), just to de-girlify the outfit. The scoop neck dress (scoop neck is another obession per se at the moment) looks like a perfect little black dress, thought it is available in one size only and it is probably a bit sheer...mmmh, has anyone already bought/tried on this dress? Maybe I'd be better to look for the classic double U-neck one...

Sequins.
Don't know exactly how it happens but I'm currently in love with pretty much everything with sequins sewn on. The skirt above is from Asos, the top is Sonia Rykiel, but I'm loving this vintage one too.

Mary Janes.
I already have a pair of high heeled mary jane shoes, but these raspberry ones are definitely adorable...and really inexpensive too. I don't want to pay hundreds of Euros for a pair of shoes I can't wear everyday!

Dark lipstick.
I didn't wear dark lipsticks in 8/10 years, but it's definitely time for trying one again. Dark purple shades are my favorites...I need a trip to the beauty store. Soon.
